What a wonderful year at Mountainside
What a wonderful year Mountainside Church has been having! Praise the Lord!
This year we are celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Mountainside Church, and we are so thankful for the many ways the Lord has blessed our congregation.
Highlights
Some of the highlights of this special year include:
- The ordination of Pastor Felix.
- The installation of Pastor Maccarinth Monickaraj.
- The welcoming of nine new members into church membership.
It was a day of great celebration as we welcomed three families and two individual members into our church family. Following the worship service, we enjoyed a shared lunch together. As a multicultural congregation, our fellowship meals are always a wonderful experience—filled with warm conversation, a rich variety of delicious foods, and flavours from many cultures that are both enjoyable and adventurous.
We also celebrated another significant milestone as Pastor Maccarinth officiated his first wedding in New Zealand, uniting Agan and Gerlie in marriage.
During August, our church building will be closed while we complete painting and new carpeting in the downstairs area. During this time, our worship services will be held at:
- Saturdays at 3.00 pm – Ellerslie Anglican Christ Church.
- Sundays at 3.00 pm – St Peter’s Presbyterian Church.
Looking ahead, we are excited to celebrate Mountainside Church’s 25th Anniversary and Reformation Weekend from 30 October to 1 November. We look forward to giving thanks for God’s faithfulness over the past 25 years and celebrating all that He continues to do in and through our church.
