Professional Standards Training Schedule November 2025
Professional Standards have introduced a number of changes this year.
These include
- the replacement of regionally based professional standards officers with a centralised Safe Church Training Officer – her name is Liz Ewers
- a complaints officer has been appointed –
- the updating of the training programmes,

There are self-paced on line courses available to complete.
It should also be noted that the LCA Convention of Synod being held Online on 18 October 2025 will consider a proposal to make changes to the Ecclesiastical Discipline System which will embed some of these and additional changes into the LCA Constitution and By-Laws.
If you are a delegate to the LCA Convention your Safe Church requirements need to be current. If you have received a notice from the LCA about not being compliant please complete these requirements:
- Police Vetting check: Forms – Lutheran Church of New Zealand (select people and safe church to find the PVC form for 2025)
- Safe Church Training: Safe Church Training – Lutheran Church of Australia (select the NZ option please.)
