GGTB Meeting September 2026
The GGTB met on 8 September 2026, via Teams, along with a number of email meetings.
The following minor grants were approved at these meetings:
- Hamilton St Mathews for funding a television to replace the current screen and projector. GGTB $4,345
- Kawerau Lutheran for assistance with church roof and window repairs; GGTB $4,500
- Mountainside Auckland for updating the kitchen area: GGTB $4,000
The following major grants for 2027 were approved at these meetings.
- LCNZ for Bishops Office in 2027; $90,600
- Upper Moutere St Pauls three-year grant for their Youth Ministry; $60,000
- Auckland Mountainside for the 2027 Building programme; $22,879
- Hamilton St Mathews for their Deaconess Locum Ministry; $13,581
- Manawatu for their Children’s Ministry: $10,000
- Christchurch St Pauls for the updating of their technology installation; $38,000
- The GGTB had approved a three-year major grant for Mountainside Auckland’s Tent Ministry in 2025 (for distribution in 2026 to 2028).
The 2027 distribution amount is $65,000
It is noted that the 2027 grants will be distributed throughout 2027 in consultation with the receiving contribution.
At the LCNZ 2025 Convention of Synod changed the rules around the amounts available for distribution from GGTB. As a result of this change the amounts available for distribution are calculated as follows:
