Details of meetings and outcomes for March to July 2025
GGTB approved grants to
- LCNZ for their MSD workshop from GGTB $7,000
- Upper Moutere St Pauls for painting the manse (from GGTB Fund) $8,000 (subject to MMM (Mobile Mission Maintenance) assistance)
- Approved a grant to Auckland Mountainside to assist with their strategic planning programme (from GGTB fund) for $3000
- Approved grants from the Te Punga Memorial Fund amounting to $19,800 to assist Jeremy Mitchel of St Pauls in Christchurch to undertake the university of Divinity (Australian Lutheran College) Discovery Programme and undertake a Diploma of Theology.
GGTB received, reviewed and approved the following:
- Quarterly financial reports to 31 December 2024 and 31 March 2025.
- their bi-annual report to the LCNZ Convention of Synod

Annual General Meeting held in May
Gateway Gift held their Annual General Meeting received the Audited Financial Statements to 31 December 2024 which were approved for publication in the LCNZ Convention of Synod (as protector) Book of Reports.
GGTB prepared reviewed and approved the Variation of Trust to the Gateway Gift and forwarded it to the LCNZ Convention of Synod (the protector) who are required to approve these changes.
GGTB received and reviewed the investment reports to December 2024 from the investment manager – Rutherford Rede.
The next AGM is scheduled for 12 May 2026.
Special General Meeting held in July
GG approved the Variation of Trust Deed which had been approved by LCNZ as the protector. The Appointers (LCNZ Assistant Bishop and LCNZ Treasurer) appointed the Trustees who are Dennis Mollet (Chairperson), Andy Marr, Richard Schwedes, Warren Paltridge, Phil Husband, Amaana Pilli and David Pang.
