LCNZ Convention of Synod 2025
The Lutheran Church of New Zealand meet in “Synod” every two years.
The next Regular Convention of Synod will be held as follows:

District Pastors/Church Worker Conference
The venue for this gathering is to be advised.
The dates of the Conference are 19 and 20 June 2025
Delegates:
The Synod is made up of:
- Pastors of the LCNZ
- Lay delegates elected to represent congregations of the LCNZ
(one delegate per 50 confirmed members of the congregation) - Members of the Council of Synod
- Treasurer of the LCNZ
Business of Synod
- Elections of Bishop, Assistant Bishop and Treasurer
- Remits submitted by the approved entities
- Reports from CoS, Ministry and associated groups of the LCNZ
- Appoint auditors
Worship
Worship will be a highlight of the daily gatherings.
There will be an In Memorium Service
Other items
There can be other items presented including Mission stories and Visitors greetings and presentations.
The LCNZ Administrator, Debbie Venz will be in touch with each congregation about appointing their delegates, providing any remits they wish, preparing Mission stories for sharing and details of persons whose names should be included in the In Memorium Service.
