Ordination Way Forward – LCNZ Zone Gatherings – updates
Bishop Richard will be in New Zealand from 6 to 23 September. He is continuing the program set by Bishop Robert with a visit to all congregations during this time and attending Council of Synod, GGTB and Church Worker meetings.
Gatherings
In addition, he will be leading the LCNZ zone gatherings, along with members of Council of Synod, which will have updates on the ordination proposals to be put to the LCANZ 2024 Convention of Synod and enable discussion of the proposed resolutions. The gatherings will be held as follows:
7 September 1 pm Auckland Mountainside Lutheran Church
Attendance by members from Auckland, Botany, Hamilton, Kawerau and Tauranga*
Starts with a shared lunch and the meeting will start at 2pm.
15 September 1 pm Feilding Trinity Lutheran Church
Attendance by members from Whanganui, Marton, Feilding, Palmerston North and Hawkes Bay*
Starts with a cuppa and the meeting will start at 2pm.
19 September 6 pm Upper Moutere Community Church
Attendance by members from St Paul’s and St John’s*
Starts with a shared meal and the meeting will start at 7pm.
20 September 6 pm Christchurch St Paul’s Lutheran Church
Attendance by members from St Paul’s*
Starts with a shared meal and the meeting will start at 7pm.
22 September 11:30 am Wellington St Paul’s Lutheran Church
Attendance by members from St Paul’s*
Starts with a shared lunch and the meeting will start at 12:30pm.
