A Minute for Mission – happening in Upper Moutere
Pastor Andy (from Upper Moutere congregation and Chair of LCNZ Council of Synod) was blessed to attend the LCA Collaborative Mission Retreat in NSW recently where he joined a number of mission minded people from across the LCA. On returning from the Retreat he shared his experience and the agreed outcomes with his wife. This was met with Janine finding the change to a culture of mission as being outside her comfort zone. However, over time Janine has warmed to the idea and is now also putting this in action. Initially she and members of the congregation started a walking group. As they walked around their community, they met other people on their walks and have the inevitable final stop at local cafes and have started engaging with the locals in simple conversations about Jesus.
